Bio

Singer, producer and composer from Spain. She started her musical career at the age of 8 studying music theory, flute and later classical singing.

She is specialist in professional singing voice rehabilitation and perfection by Alcalá University (Madrid) and graduated in History and Art by Navarra’s University. As singer and historian she begins to develop a special interest in historical singing, which leads her to several courses in Renaissance and Baroque singing and to sing both as chorister and soloist in various operas and classical and Early Music ensembles. Her growing interest in the possibilities of the voice leads her to initiate new projects or collaborate with jazz, rock, metal and ambient music groups. She also decides to immerse herself in other techniques and methods and studies Estill Voive Training levels 1&2 in Barcelona. All this experience provides her with a very versatile voice.

At the same time she is the founder, composer and arranger of the symphonic metal band Diabulus in Musica, with whom she has recorded four albums with compositions and orchestral arrangements on her own. These albums have been released worldwide by the prestigious labels Metal Blade Records (USA) and Napalm Records (Austria). In both works the band has achieved several awards and her voice has been regarded by critics as one of the bests in the genre. This has given her the opportunity to share the stage with renowned artists on numerous tours throughout Europe and Latin America.

She also works as a session vocalist and has recorded several collaborations with artists from many different genres. Her recent recordings include two symphonic rock projects as the only female voice among recognized musicians and veteran voices of the international rock scene, such as Graham Bonnet (Rainbow), Edu Falaschi (Angra), Jonas Hansson (Silver Mountain), Lynn Meredith (Kansas), Zack Stevens (Savatage), Dougie White (Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen), Ron Bumblefoot (Guns N’ Roses)…

Moreover, she works as a composer and producer for other projects in her own studio and she has even created the soundtrack for an interdisciplinary book project about Basque mythology. She also collaborates with the Department of Intangible Cultural Heritage Archive of the University of Navarre in the development of teaching materials from popular children’s songs, for which she makes the musical arrangements and accompaniments.

With all this background Zuberoa decides to finally record a cd herself as a composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. “Beyond the Threshold” is her first solo album in which she has given life to her musical passions and her inner world of fantasy, creating a vast colourful landscape of beautiful cinematic sounds and heavenly voices. A varied collection of songs going from epic-ambient music and orchestral arrangements to celtic-folk tunes.

She is currently studying a master of professional voice in the University of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) and combines her job as a singer with the one of vocal instructor in the Singing School “Eugenia Echarren” in Pamplona.
