Heartbreaking medieval song by troubadour Bernart de Ventadorn. It dates from the 12th and the beautiful poem of its lyrics is written in provençal language (you can read the translation on the video description, the poem is much longer, I just chose the three first verses). 9 centuries later we can still be touched by old melodies and words and feel connected with them, sometimes even more than with some contemporary "art" expressions. We are not that far away... and that amazes me... Art should keep being a vehicle of self expression, pain relief or a simple aim of creating and sharing beauty with the world...![]()
